New MDS Foundation Board Chair

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA—July 11, 2024—The Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) announces a new MDS Foundation chair—Janis Moriarty, DMD. Dr. Moriarty brings a wealth of experience to this new position, including many years on the Foundation Board. She has also held several leadership roles within the Society, most notably as past president. 

“I am excited for this role as we usher the Foundation into the next chapter of carrying out our mission of improving the oral health of Massachusetts residents. Access to dental care continues to be a challenge for many, and the MDS Foundation and our member dentists are eager to help the most vulnerable populations in the Commonwealth engage in better dental care.

The MDS Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Massachusetts Dental Society, provides resources to enhance the oral health of Massachusetts residents. Since 2010, the Foundation has concentrated its grant-making efforts on supporting programs and projects across the state that strive to improve access to oral health care for underserved populations.
