Members of the Boston District have a primary address in the city of Boston, including the neighborhoods of Allston, Back Bay, Bay Village, Beacon Hill, Brighton, Charlestown, Chinatown, Dorchester, Downtown, Fenway, Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain, Kenmore, Mattapan, Mission Hill, North End, Roslindale, Roxbury, South Boston, South End, West End, and West Roxbury.
Vision Statement: The BDDS is a component society of the MDS that provides value to its members through communication, networking, and education.

MDS Governance Structure
The Board of Trustees consists of the president, vice president, immediate past president (every other year), secretary, treasurer, speaker of the house, six regional trustees, one at-large trustee, and the MDS executive director. All districts are represented by regional trustees on the MDS Board of Trustees, and the regions are comprised of two or more districts. Board members play a significant role in setting the long-term direction of the MDS.
